  • Trials take place at Beehive Salon in Leith and last approximately two hours.

    As our space is small, it’s best to bring just one guest — someone who helps you feel calm and grounded.

    • A light top (white or ivory) so you can see how you look, with your dress tone

Bridal Trials

  • Your trial is a chance to bring your vision to life. We’ll discuss your ideas, timings for the day, and any

    additional hair or makeup needs for bridesmaids or mums. Together we’ll test out your chosen style so

    you feel confident and relaxed on your wedding day.

  • Up to two hours at Beehive Salon, Leith. As space is limited, we suggest bringing no more than one guest.

    • Pinterest boards or saved inspiration images

    • Hair accessories (veil, tiara, comb, pins)

    • Any favourite products you’d like to use

  • A light-coloured top (white or ivory works best) so you can see how your bridal look will complement your dress.

Preparing for your wedding day

  • Yes, or on the morning of — whichever suits you best. Just make sure your hair is completely dry and free from heavy styling products.

  • Cleanse and moisturise as usual. Avoid facials or introducing new skincare products in the week before your wedding.

  • We recommend having these done at least 48 hours before (ideally 3–5 days) so they look natural and have time to settle.

    • Bride: approx. 2 hours

    • Bridesmaids/mums: 45–60 minutes each

    A personalised wedding morning schedule will be created to keep everything running smoothly.

  • Our professional techniques are designed for long wear.

    I suggest keeping your chosen lipstick or gloss, plus a pressed powder for touch-ups.

  • I use only the highest quality, professional products to create long-lasting, camera-ready looks.

Bookings & Practicalities

  • Travel within Edinburgh is free. For weddings outside Edinburgh, a travel fee will be included in your quote.

  • A £50 non-refundable deposit secures your date and is deducted from your balance. Final payment is due two weeks before your wedding.

  • Yes — just let us know in advance. For larger bridal parties, we can arrange an additional artist from our professional team.

  • If for any reason your artist is unavailable, a trusted replacement from our film and TV team will be

    provided wherever possible. If not, a full refund will be issued.

  • Yes. Beyond weddings, we provide hair and makeup for red carpet events, TV, film, theatre, and editorial projects.
